Cold wave sweeps across Rajasthan

Cold waves swept across Rajasthan where mercury further dipped as Churu in plains recorded a low of 0.6 deg C.
Churu yesterday had recorded a minimum of 2.1 deg C
The minimum at Sriganganagar settled at a low of 1.7 degree C.
The sole hill station Mount Abu in the desert state recorded a night temperature of minus 0.5 degrees Celsius, according to the MeT Department here.
Pilani, Jaisalmer, Jaipur, Ajmer and Barmer recorded minimum of 2.9, 6, 6.7, 7.8 and 8.4 degrees Celsius respectively.
The MeT Department predicts no respite from the prevailing cold conditions during next 24 hours.
