The 41-year-old actor said he gives a hat-tip to "The King's Speech" actor for beating him in more than one area, reported FemaleFirst.
"Even though he beats me by an Oscar, about ten inches and a lot more decorum. I tried to sign up for gym once and the woman got on the phone to sort out the membership and she said in a rather loud whisper, 'Colin Firth is here'," Farrell said in an appearance on "The Graham Norton Show".
It comes after the actor - who has sons, James, 14 and Henry, eight - recently admitted he does not consider himself as an actor, as his believes his primary job is to be a good father to his brood.
