College professor commits suicide in Rajasthan

A 40-year-old college professor allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his room in Rampura Kotwali police station area here.
Dinesh Jain, a resident of Gulabbari, hanged himself from the ceiling of his room yesterday while no one was at home, police from Rampura Kotwali police station said.
Upon reaching home, parents of the deceased found him hanging from the ceiling and called the police.
Jain was declared brought dead by the doctors at Maharao Bheem Singh government hospital, police said, adding the body was handed over to the family members after post-mortem and a case lodged in this connection.

The deceased, posted as an associate professor at Rajasthan Technical University (RTU), was in depression after divorce from his wife, Babulal, head constable at Rampura Kotwali police station, said.
No suicide note was recovered from him but before taking the extreme step, he had written on his room's wall that no one was responsible for it and it was his own decision to end his life, Babulal said.
