College student, widow raped in Rajasthan

A 24-year-old college girl and a widow were allegedly raped in two separate incidents here, police said today.
In the first case, the victim, a student of a college in Mansarovar area here, was allegedly lured to a deserted place near Muhana and raped by one Omprakash at gun point some three months ago, they said.
The accused, who was known to the family of the victim, also filmed the act and later used the video clip to blackmail and sexually exploit her, police said.
He also showed the video clips to her prospective in-laws which led to the breaking of the victim's engagement following which her parents lodged an FIR with Muhana police station yesterday, they said.

Medical examination of victim was done and a case under Section 376 (rape) of the IPC has been lodged against Omprakash who is absconding, police said.
In another incident, a 35-year-old widow was allegedly raped by her neighbor, Kaluram Meena in Pratapnagar area, for the last five years on the pretext of marriage, police said.
On the complaint of the victim yesterday, a case under Section 376 (rape) of the IPC has been registered against Kaluram who is missing, they said, adding the woman was being questioned and would undergo medical examination.
