The ceremoniously dressed camels and troops, employing over 75 decorative items, presented a visually appealing scene as people acknowledged them with loud cheers and applause.
The men, each over 6 feet in height and sporting uniquely styled moustaches, and the camels presented a riot of colours. The contingent was led by Deputy Commandant Kuldeep Seervi.
Young male camels each of around five years of age are selected for the contingent and these serve for 15 years in the force.
The bandsmen played "Hum Hai Suraksha Bal" tune.
The camel band of BSF was raised in 1986-87 by Rajasthan Frontier of the force.
