Actor Colton Haynes will reprise his role as Roy Harper in an upcoming episode of the ongoing fourth season of TV show "Arrow".
The actor will make an appearance in the 12th episode of the season. Haynes has begun filming his guest-starring appearance on the show, reported Aceshowbiz.
He tweeted, "Just landed in Vancouver to...BEGIN FILMING ON #ARROW AGAIN!!! So excited!!!"
Executive producer Marc Guggenheim confirmed Haynes' return.
"We are beyond thrilled that Colton will be returning to 'Arrow' this season," he said in a statement.
"It was always our intention to have him return following his departure last season, but it was a matter of finding the right story line to pull it off. That opportunity presented itself in episode 412 and we can't wait for the fans to see this reunion."
Haynes' Roy was last seen at the end of season three when he faked his death after protecting Oliver by taking the blame for being the Arrow. He left Starling City to start a new life with a new identity.
The show, however, has always been open for his return. "Colton will not be returning to the show as a series regular in Season 4, but will appear in one additional episode this season," a rep for Warner Bros TV said in April.
"Like all characters that exist in this universe, there will always be the potential for him return moving forward.
