Committed to ensure all round development: Khattar

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said the government is committed to ensure all round development of the state without any regional discrimination, taking up those areas initially which have "lagged behind" in terms of development.
He was speaking at a public address in Kaithal district today, according to an official statement.
Expressing concern over the development work carried out in the district, Khattar said the work undertaken during the previous regime "was done only with an eye on political benefits".
He also announced a slew of incentives for the people of the district which included a new girl's college at Guhla-Cheeka, extension of general hospital with facility of MRI and CT scan.

He also announced that arrangements would be made for drainage of water in all villages on priority basis. Apart from this, adequate supply of drinking water would also be ensured in the Kaithal district.
The chief minister said that the priority of the government is to provide a transparent administration to the people. "We will do what we have committed," he said.

Taking a dig at the previous government in the state, the chief minister alleged that it used to lay stones for various development works which were never started and make "tall announcements which never materialised".
Khattar said that the present BJP government will take into consideration the position of its financial resources before making any announcement.

He said that the state government would generate ample opportunities for employment and also ensure industrial development in the State.
Without naming anyone, he said that "our former prime minister used to say that out of one rupee given by the government only 10 paisa reaches the people". But we will ensure that hundred per cent funds reach the people.
