Communication gap on SC judgement on diesel cabs: AAP

The AAP today claimed the apex court's refusal to extend the April 30 deadline fixed for conversion of diesel cars into CNG mode does not extend to cabs with all India permit and there is "communication gap" over the issue.
AAP's Delhi unit convenor Dilip Pandey said not a single permit has been issued to diesel cabs, without all India permit.
"There is some communication gap on this. Lies are also being spread over the issue. I have read the Supreme Court judgement and it has no mention of anything on diesel cabs with all India permit.
"There is not a single city permit issued for these diesel cabs. There are no diesel cabs in Delhi," Pandey claimed.

On April 30, the apex court refused to extend the deadline fixed for their conversion of diesel cars into less-polluting CNG mode, which included over 27,000 diesel-run taxis.
The party also took credit for the National Green Tribunal relaxing norms to allow some sort of commercial activity at Rohtang Pass in Himachal Pradesh.

AAP leader Sanjay Singh said they coordinated with the local traders in Manali on the issue and put forth their views before the green body.
Yesterday, the tribunal said said no activities like paragliding and snow scooters would be permitted at Rohtang Pass as the "extremely eco-sensitive area" cannot be subjected to further degradation.

It also added that, "No activity of any kind would be permitted at Rohtang Pass except providing of local dresses and photography.
