In a written reply to the Lok Sabha, Corporate Affairs Minister Arun Jaitley said 80 cases were filed before the Competition Commission of India (CCI) till November 30 in the current fiscal.
During this period, 98 cases were disposed of while 119 cases are under consideration of the regulator.
In 2014-15, the regulator had looked into 137 cases while the number stood at 104 in 2013-14.
To a separate query, Jaitley said no case regarding re-sale price agreements has been received in the period in question.
"Case No. 61/2014 [by Jasper Infotech Pvt Ltd (Snapdeal) against Kaff Appliances (India) Pvt Ltd is under investigation by Director General, CCI," he said.
Cases where the Commission finds prima-facie evidence of competition norm violations are referred to its investigation arm DG for a detailed probe.
CCI has the mandate to prevent practices having adverse effect on competition as well as promote competition in markets.
