Complaints of corruption, malpractices in NIT Ukhand: Govt

The government has received complaints from some officials regarding corruption, malpractices and humiliation of faculty members at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Uttarakhand in the last three years, Lok Sabha was informed today.
In a written reply, HRD minister Smriti Irani said her ministry had received complaints from "some of the officials and faculty members" of National Institute of Technology (NIT), Uttarakhand during last three years through various organisations.
She was replying to a question by former Uttarakhand CM Maj Gen (retd) B C Khanduri, who had himself complained about alleged corruption and humilation of faculty members.
