Congress activists along with farmers of Bhatta-Parsaul village and nearby places gathered at Jaawal chowk in Jewar area and chanted slogans against the Narendra Modi government.
The activists, led by UPPCC spokesperson Dhirendra Singh, also burnt an effigy of the Prime Minister along with copies of Ordinance on Land Acquisition Act 2013.
"The government must listen to the voice of farmers which form 65 per cent of the total population," said Singh, adding that such protests will continue until ordinance on Land Acquisition Act 2013 is taken back by the government.
