"Corruption worth Rs 5 crore has taken place in Jatara janpad during the implementation of schemes like Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act," state Congress secretary Brijendra Singh Rathore said yesterday.
Further, corruption of Rs 1.30 crore had taken place in Tikamgarh janpad in the MGNREGA and other schemes, he said, adding Congress wanted a CBI probe into the issue.
When asked for comment, district panchayat's chief executive officer Ajay Katsariya said tough action will be taken against the guilty in such cases.
