Congress MLA Inderwal G M Saroori and NC MLC Khalid Najib Sohrawardy demanded the creation of the Chenab Valley Hill Development Council for the entire erstwhile Doda district.
The legislators put forward their demand to the committee, headed by Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand, during its visit to Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban.
They urged the government to give due consideration to the erstwhile Doda district while creating new administrative units in the region keeping in view the topography and population.
