The US company Louis Berger allegedly bribed Ministers to win consultancy for water augmentation and sewerage line project executed under JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) funding.
Leader of Opposition Pratapsingh Rane today said in the Assembly that he wants to know what exactly the entire controversy was all about.
"What is the current status of the JICA project. The project is in the news. We also need to know what exactly is the issue and related news," Rane said making a mention about controversy in his half-an-hour-long speech.
Police have already said that they have managed to track the trail of money, which was accepted as a bribe.
JICA Goa Project Director A Wachasunder has been arrested by crime branch, which has also recorded the statements of local officials of Louis Berger.
