According to a party spokesman, state Congress president Partap Singh Bajwa thanked partymen for their enthusiasm in the first two phases of the Mass Contact Programme across 117 constituencies and asked them to rake up issues of public interest in the third leg.
He was addressing a meeting here at Congress Bhawan.
The meeting also passed a resolution thanking AICC Vice- President Rahul Gandhi for his stand against the ordinance issued by the Union Cabinet to bail out convicted leaders.
Bajwa said Congress will launch an initiative to collect information about unemployed youths in the state and then approach high court to give directions for the state government to pay them an allowance.
