Hitting out at Congress, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today said Congress will not reach even a double-digit tally in Jammu and Kashmir assembly polls.
Jaitley, while addressing a meeting of BJP's polling booth workers here, alleged that Congress used to become a tail of two regional parties -- PDP and NC -- for remaining in the power in Jammu and Kashmir.
"Congress is a national Party. And People will punish you (Congress) for this. You (Congress) cannot reach a double- digit tally," Jaitley said.
Taking a dig at Congress, the Union minister said "But, they (Congress) are waiting in wings to save their chair. If NC gets the seats, it will become its tail and if PDP gets the seats, it will become its tail (in a bid to remain in power)".
"Advani ji used to say that there are two major national parties in the country --BJP and Congress. They will head the the coalition. I had seen in Delhi as well as in Jammu and Kashmir, Congress has proved Advani ji wrong. Instead of heading the coalition, they are waiting for opportunity as to whose tail they will become to keep in power", Jaitley said.
"At the Centre, Communist and Trinamool Congress used to decide their agenda. Congress always left its political ideology and used to follow them. In Jammu and Kashmir, they have the same situation. They will not even reach double digits," he said.
