Yoga guru Ramdev today alleged that Congress was responsible for large-scale corruption since Independence and it must be thrown out of power in the interest of the country.
He slammed the Congress-led UPA government for allowing FDI in many sectors, and alleged that huge amount of black money stashed abroad was flowing into the country in the form of FDI.
Dubbing Congress as a national disaster, he claimed that the Congress ruled the country for almost the entire period since Independence and it was instrumental for spread of corruption.
Accusing both the Centre and Uttarakhand government of failing to undertake proper relief and rescue operation in the Himalayan state after the recent natural calamity, Ramdev alleged that Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi was busy celebrating somewhere during the hour of crisis.
Hitting out at the UPA Government over the Food Security measure, he claimed that the Congress was using it as a tool to divert people's attention from real issues like inflation, poverty and other problems.
Praising Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, Ramdev said the BJP leader could play a major role in defeating Congress.
The yoga guru, however, said his organisation was yet to decide whether to extend support to BJP in the next Lok Sabha elections.
