Raising slogans against Valtoha and others, the protesters, led by District Congress Committee president Joginder Singh Mann, also held a demonstration before burning the effigies opposite PWD Rest House along National Highway 1.
Addressing protesters, Mann alleged that Akali "feudal lords" could not digest the rise of a scheduled caste and the "foul-mouthed" Valtoha used "casteist remarks" against Congress MLA from Banga Tarlochan Singh Soondh.
He accused Badals of protecting Valtoha.
