Maintaining that huge tracts of land had been acquired by the government in the name of setting up industries, main Opposition said Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan must tell the people how the state has benefited from these summits.
"In the last 11 years, BJP government has organised seven GISs. The Congress demands that the Chief Minister issue a white paper on their outcome, especially benefits which have accrued to the state, before the eighth summit begins," state Congress President Arun Yadav told reporters.
Ahead of the summit, large tracts of fertile land had been acquired by the state government for the benefit of industrialists, he alleged.
So far 70,000 hectares of land had been allotted to the industrialists and the Chouhan government is getting ready to allocate 20,000 hectares more to them, he claimed.
In the past, the BJP government trumpeted about signing MOUs worth crores of rupees with corporates, but these projects are hardly visible on ground, the MPCC chief said.
Yadav said sick units in the state were in possession of 27,000 acres of land and demanded that the government take back this land from them.
