Congress legislators hit back at Akalis

Several local Congress leaders from Amritsar today hit back at SAD ministers Bikram Singh Majithia and Gulzar Singh Ranike for trying to distort the legislative record of Congress leader Amarinder Singh.
The leaders, including party legislators O P Soni, Raj Kumar Verka and Sukh Sarkaria, in a statement, reminded Akali ministers that "people still remember the special session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha where Capt Amarinder Singh had exposed the entire Akali leadership."
The Congress leaders said "the Akalis should themselves be ashamed of running away from any debate in the Vidhan Sabha".
They alleged that SAD members rush through their agenda without any debates or discussions in the House making a mockery of the legislature and legislative business.
