Congress wins 18 assembly seats, leading in 16 in Arunachal

Congress in Arunachal Pradesh won 18 assembly seats, including the 11 which it had won unopposed and was leading in 16 seats heading for re-capturing power in the state which has a 60-member house.
The People's Party of Arunachal (PPA) won one seat and is leading in 3 seats while BJP is leading in 2 seats.
Former Chief Minister Jarbom Gamlin of Congress won the Liromoba seat in West Siang district defeating his nearest rival Bai Gadi of BJP by a margin of 1304 votes.
While Parliamentary secretary (Civil Aviation) Jambey Tashi of Congress retained the Lumla assembly constituency in Tawang district bordering China defeating his lone rival independent candidate Theg Tse Rimpoche by a margin of 1499 votes, Environment and Forest Parliamentary Secretary Chow Tewa Mein won from Chowkham constituency defeating his nearest rival Sotai Kri of the BJP by 2894 votes.
While PWD Parliamentary secretary T N Thongdok won from Kalaktang defeating PPA candidate Tsering Sonam by a margin of 709 votes, Food and civil supplies minister Kamlung Mossang won the Miao seat defeating his nearest rival Chomjong Haidley of the BJP by a margin of 3824 votes.
In Namsabf assembly seat, Wangki Lowang of Congress won defeating his nearest rival Wanglong Rajkumar of the BJP by 916 votes.
In Dambuk assembly seat, Congress candidate Gum Tayeng won defeating BJP rival Rhoding Pertin by 1189 votes.
Congress retained all the seats.
In Bordumsa-Diyun assembly constituency, Nikh Kamin of the People's Party of Arunachal (PPA) defeated sitting Congress MLA C C Singpho by 1328 votes.
