Noting that not looking into the transfer requests of such teachers which have long been pending is being insensitive towards them, he asked the education secretary yesterday to ensure action in these cases with complete transparency.
The Governor issued the orders after coming across many cases where the department has not deliberated upon applications for transfers given by teachers who are seriously ill or disabled, an official statesmen said.
The president of the Joint Workers' Association of the medical college requested that all those who had completed five years of contractual service should be regularised.
The Governor directed the principal secretary (health) to look into the matter and take necessary action.
