Constable dies in accident

An armed reserve police constable died when the motorcycle he was riding was knocked down by a van near here, police today said.
Murugesan (31), a constable in the Armed Reserve Police at Erode residing at Komarapalayam in Namakkal district, was returning home last night when the mishap occurred, police said.
Police are investigating.
