Construction material suppliers injured in clash

A few people were injured today when two groups of people dealing in construction materials clashed in a dispute over supply of the materials at New Town in Rajarhat on the outskirts of the city.
The police said the clash broke out when one group of suppliers allegedly began to harm the business interest of the other group at the satellite township which has been witnessing a boom in construction.
The injured people were rushed to a local hospital and were later released.
