Physically challenged employees were entitled to get both handicapped allowance and conveyance allowance in accordance with 5th Pay Commission, Punjab Finance Minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa said in a statement issued here.
Singh said that some section of employees had expressed apprehensions about the conveyance allowance.
He said instructions in this regard have been issued to all the Departmental Heads, Commissioners of Divisions, Deputy Commissioners, District and Sessions Judges, Registrar, Punjab and Haryana High Court and Sub Divisional Officers to strictly implement the orders.
Minister said that through these instructions, it had been made clear that all such handicapped employees were entitled to get both handicapped allowance and conveyance allowance.
