against a police official for allegedly indulging in adultery, police said here today.
According to Abids Police, the inspector T Swamy working in Karimnagar was spotted in a hotel room along with a woman sub-inspector and based on a complaint filed by the husband of the woman officer, an FIR under sections 497 and 506 of IPC was registered.
Both the officials were posted on duty in Hyderabad as part of the security arrangements for the ongoing Assembly session and were reportedly staying in different hotels, they said.
Central Zone DCP Kamakasan Reddy while terming it as a private affair, said they registered a case against both the officials. He, however, refused to divulge details.
