Cop dies during test run for promotion

A 47-year-old constable, participating in a fitness test for a promotion died in Amber-Jalmahal road area here, police said today.
Ramji Lal, posted in secrecy unit of Police Headquarters, was participating in the 2 km run as part of a fitness test for the post of Head constable yesterday.
He fainted as soon as the race started, police said.
Lal was rushed to SMS Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
About 400 constables were participating in the promotion test.
