The head constable Rajkumar was involved in an altercation with daughter of a parking stand contractor near the civil court yesterday, SSP Nitin Tiwari said.
Following the incident, the woman alleged that constable misbehaved with her.
The accused policeman has filed a counter complaint alleging that the woman snatched his bike key and sunglasses and threw them in a nearby drain, he added.
Tiwari said that though the constable was off duty he was wearing uniform and his medical report suggests that he was not drunk.
