Copper and nickel weakens on lower demand

Copper and nickel weakened further at the non-ferrous metal market here today following sustained stockists selling amidst lower demand from industrial users.
While, lead recovered slightly owing to mild offtake from alloy industries.
Copper scrap heavy fell by Rs 14 per kg to Rs 383 from Thursday's close at Rs 397.
Copper cable scrap, copper armature, copper wire bar and nickel dipped by Rs 10 per kg each to Rs 392, Rs 370, Rs 420 and Rs 880 as against Rs 402, Rs 380, Rs 430 and Rs 890, respectively.
Copper sheet cuttings moved down by Rs 8 per kg to Rs 367 as compared Rs 375 yesterday.
Copper utensils scrap edged down by Rs 7 per kg to Rs 358 from Rs 365 previously.
However, lead inched up by a Re per kg to Rs 151.
