Copper prices moved down by 0.27 per cent to Rs 336.60 per kg in futures trading today as speculators booked profits at prevailing levels amid easing demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in August fell by 90 paise, or 0.27 per cent, to Rs 336.60 per kg, in a business turnover of 18,602 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in November traded lower by 60 paise, or 0.17 per cent, to Rs 343.20 per kg in 234 lots.
Analysts said besides profit-booking by participants at prevailing levels, fall in demand from consuming industries in the spot market, mainly influenced copper prices at futures trade.
