Copper futures fall 0.34% on weak global cues

Copper dropped by 0.90% to $6,872.25 per metric tonne at the London Metal Exchange

Tracking a weak global trend, copper prices fell 0.34% to Rs 426.60 per kg in futures trade today as speculators offloaded positions.
 
Further, subdued demand at domestic spot market weighed on metal prices.
 
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in November fell Rs 1.45, or 0.34%, to Rs 426.60 per kg in business turnover of 351 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in copper futures to weak global cues after home prices weakened in the biggest user China and as the dollar climbed, reducing demand for metals.
 
Meanwhile, copper dropped by 0.90% to $6,872.25 per metric tonne at the London Metal Exchange.
