Copra, Dry date slip on increase supply

Prices of copra and dry dates fell by Rs 100 per quintal in the dry-fruit markets today following increased arrivals against reduced offtake.
Marketmen said the fall in copra and dry dates mainly attributed to fresh supply and slackness in demand.
Copra prices dropped by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 8,400-10,000 per quintal.
Similarly dry dates red slipped from Rs 4,500-11,500 to Rs 4,400-11,500 per quintal.
The following were today's quotations (per 40 kg):
Almond (California) Rs 18,400 Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 8,100-8,400; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 4,600-4,900; Abjosh Afghani Rs 8,000-22,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 635-660 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 500-550 per kg.
