Copra edges up on uptick in demand

Copra prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale dry fruits market today on pick up in demand.
However, other dry fruits moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled at last levels.
Marketmen said increased demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing regions, mainly pushed up copra prices.
In the national capital, copra rose by Rs 200 to Rs 16,100-18,600 per quintal.
