Besides robust demand from corporates and consumers, copra farmers are holding their stocks amid anticipation of higher realisation, a bigger contributing factor for the steep rise in prices, a trader said.
Copra Rajapur Mumbai jumped by a staggering Rs 1,000 per quntal to Rs 19,000 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 18,000.
Black pepper rose by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 770/820 as against Rs 770/815 previously.
