Corpn to instal water purification plants

The Madurai City Corporation has decided to instal water purification plants for benefit of children in 16 elementary and nine middle schools.
A.Mathuram, City engineer, said: "We are taking this step taking into consideration the health of the school children. We found it successful in some high schools where we installed on trial basis."
He said the capacity of the plant would depend on the number of students studying in the school.It would be either 5000 litres or 3000 litres,he said.
The installation of plants would be completed before August,he said.
