Market players stated the continuous fall in cottonseed oil cake prices in futures trading to subdued demand for cattle-feed makers, triggered by persistent arrivals from producing areas in spot markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for May delivery slipped further by Rs 10, or 0.45 per cent, to Rs 2,204 per quintal, in an open interest of 57,440 lots.
The delivery for April also fell by Rs 9, or 0.41 per cent, to Rs 2,166 per quintal, open interest stood at 1,08,810 lots.
