Marketmen said the fall in cottonseed oil cake prices in futures trading was mostly attributed to offloading of positions by participants, tracking a weak trend at the spot markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for June slipped by Rs 30, or 1.70 per cent, to Rs 1,734 per quintal, with an open interest of 73,170 lots.
In a similar manner, cottonseed oil cake for delivery in July dropped by Rs 28, or 1.54 per cent, to Rs 1,788 per quintal, open interest stood at 63,270 lots.
