Market players attributed the fall in cottonseed oil cake prices here in futures trading to cutting down of positions by participants following a weak trendf at the physical markets due to slackness in demand from cattle-feed makers.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, cottonseed oil cake delivery for the June contract dropped by Rs 16 or 0.80 per cent to Rs 1,982 per quintal, in an open interest of 26,780 lots.
