At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for delivery in February contracts improved by Rs 17, or 0.96 per cent, to Rs 1,783 per quintal with a business turnover in 84,340 open lots.
Likewise, cottonseed oil cake for delivery this month increased Rs 12.50, or 0.71 per cent, to Rs 1,764 per quintal with an open interest of 24,480 lots.
Marketmen said besides covering of positions by operators at current levels, pick up in spot demand from animal feed makers amid tight supplies influenced the upward trend.
