At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oilcake for delivery in May advanced by Rs 20, or 0.93 per cent, to Rs 2,179 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 77,390 lots.
The cottonseed oilcake for delivery in April was also trading higher by Rs 19, or 0.89 per cent, to Rs 2,144 per quintal, with the business turnover of 88,270 lots.
Marketmen said, a firming trend at the physical markets on strong demand at the spot markets for cattle-feed industries amid supplies from growing regions, influenced cottonseed oilcake prices at futures trade.
