At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, cottonseed oilcake for delivery in March contracts was trading higher by Rs 12, or 0.60 per cent to Rs 2,017 per quintal, with an open interest of 50,590 lots.
On the similar line, the most-active February month delivery contracts advanced by Rs 8, or 0.40 per cent to Rs 2,003 per quintal, in an open interest of 72,780 lots.
According to marketmen, covering-up of short positions by speculators at current levels helped cottonseed oilcake prices to rise at futures trade here.
