However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said besides pick up in demand from retailers, restricted supplies from producing belts mainly led to rise in cottonseed and sesame oil prices.
In the national capital, cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) and sesame mill delivery oils went up by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,600 and Rs 7,800 per quintal respectively.
Oilseeds: Mustard seed Rs 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut seed Rs 2,150-2,900. Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) Rs 800-1,000.
