Councillor's daughter hangs self, leaves suicide note

A 20-year-old girl committed suicide in the wee hours today by hanging herself in Kalyanpur area here, leaving a suicide note in which she said family discord was the reason for her taking the extreme step.
The deceased girl, Supriya was a second-year BA student and daughter of Beena Kushwaha, a councillor from Maswanpur area, according to Santosh Singh, SHO, Kalyanpur.
Police were informed by the family members in the morning when Supriya was found dead in her room. The body has been sent for post mortem.
According to colony residents, the girl committed suicide as the family members disapproved of her relationship with a youth of a different caste.

Further investigation in the case is underway.
