The deceased were identified as Ramavatar Vijay (35) and his wife Madhuri (30) and were resident of DMC colony, Sodala area of Jaipur, said Sub-Inspector Rameshwar Lal.
According to eyewitnesses, the couple jumped before the running goods train at Indergarh railway track around 8.15 pm last evening, he said.
As per preliminary investigation, it seems to be a case of suicide though no suicide note has been recovered from them, police said.
The name and address of the deceased couple who were reported to be tea-leaves vendor, were traced from a mobile phone recovered from their possession, Lal said adding that their family members have been informed.
