Couple held for cheating over 27 photographers

A couple hailing from Mysore has been arrested for allegedly cheating over 27 photographers by promising them American visa to take part in a photography exhibition, police said today.
An FIR was registered against the couple on the complaint of a city-based photographer who alleged that the duo had taken Rs 75,000 but did not arrange for the visa, they said.
The two had allegedly duped over 27 photographers of Dakshina Kannada and collected about Rs 12 lakh from them, police said, adding, both have been remanded to judicial custody.
