Couple killed in mishap

A couple was killed when their bike was hit by a car at Abupur village here, police said today.
The incident happened when Sunita (45) and her husband Prempal (48), residents of Harvansh Nagar Loni, were returning home from Modi Nagar, Station House Officer (SHO) Umeed Yadav said.
Sunita died on spot while Prempal succumbed to his injuries at a private hospital, he said.
The driver of the car, identified as Rajat, has been arrested and sent to jail, he added.
In another incident, a person was killed while another injured when their bike was hit by a truck near Duhai village on Delhi-Meerut road, police said.

Vicky and Manish, residents of Pasonda village in Sahibabad, were admitted to a nearby hospital, he said.
Later, their families got them admitted to GTB hospital in New Delhi where Manish succumbed to his injuries today morning, he said, adding, Vicky is under treatment.
The accused driver Aslam has been arrested and his truck seized, the SHO said.
