Couple, minor child run over by train

In a suspected case of suicide, the bodies of a couple and a two-year-old child were recovered from an unmanned level crossing near Nanguneri in the district, police said today.
They were run over by a train, police said.
According to the police, the couple might have taken the extreme step as they feared the wrath of villagers and the deceased woman's husband, a resident of Radhapuram, had warned them against carrying on with their illicit relationship.
