Couple stabbed while resisting robbery

A 45-year-old man was stabbed to death while his wife was injured by robbers in Siddhartha Nagar area here, police said today.
The incident occurred on Saturday night when the family of Suresh Chandra Sharma was sleeping and some unidentified men entered their house near Daherua Mod, an FIR that has been lodged said.
The men stabbed Sharma and his wife Vimlesh Devi, police said, adding Sharma succumbed to his injuries at a hospital while his wife is stated to be in a serious condition.
Their children were also beaten up by the robbers for raising an alarm.
Arun Kumar Singh, SP (Rural) said efforts are on to apprehend the accused.
