Court orders another 5 days' police custody for Arabul

Expelled Trinamool Congress strongman and former MLA Arabul Islam, arrested in a case of alleged extortion, was remanded to five days police custody by a court in North 24 Parganas district today.
Chief Judicial Magistrate, Barasat, Madhumita Roy ordered another five days' police remand for Arabul.
The same CJM court had earlier ordered five days' police remand for Arabul on April 27.
Arabul was arrested from New Town area in North 24 Parganas district on April 26 for his alleged involvement in an extortion case.
He was facing various charges of extortion, threat, possession of arms.
