Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Sonu Agnihotri passed the direction when it was informed by the police that during verification, the rent agreement furnished by the sureties was false and the landlord told the court that it was prepared without his knowledge.
The court ordered cops of Saket Police Station to lodge FIR against Joel Gangte and Dousuanmung Ngaihte for the alleged offences of cheating, forgery, using forged document as genuine and criminal conspiracy under the IPC.
"In view of above recorded facts and circumstances, I am of the view that sureties Ngaihte and Gangte appear to have been indulged in commission of offences under sections 419, 468, 471 and 120B IPC," the CMM said.
The rent agreement was furnished in the court along with the bail bond of accused K G Gangte, facing prosecution in a case lodged by CBI. He was granted bail by the court in July this year and the court had directed him to furnish two sureties of Rs 50,000 each.
